PRAZOPHAR XL 5

PRAZOPHAR XL-5 contains Prazosin HCl in extended release formulation is an alpha blocker. It used to treat high blood pressure and lower your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. It is also used in the treatment of heart failure and mild enlargement of the prostate gland.  

Composition :

• Prazosin HCL 5mg in Extended Release

 

Mode of Action :

Prazosin(PRAZOPHAR) inhibits the postsynaptic alpha-1 adrenoceptors. This inhibition blocks the vasoconstricting (narrowing) effect of catecholamines (epinephrine and norepinephrine) on the vessels, leading to peripheral blood vessel dilation.  

Indication :

PRAZOPHAR XL is used to treat hypertension, benign prostatic hyperplasia.
